Self-similar behavior in relativistic galactic dynamics  

In this talk I will present a short proof of existence of self-similar solution to the Ultra-Relativistic Vlasov-Poisson system in 3 dimensions. The proof is considerably simpler than the one presented recently by Lemou, Méhats & Raphaël and, at the same time, our existence result is more general. Moreover, our method works also for the massless Einstein-Vlasov system, for which the existence of self-similar solutions was previously unknown. This talk is based on a joint work with Óscar Sánchez.
